better safe than sorry

In France, there's a new law that requires apartments and condos to have equipped with fire alarms system. This is because fire accidents happened more frequently and installing this safety devices in multiple family housings could help saved peoples lives. I even suggested Dh to put alarm system in our flat too for additional security measures. For me, it is better to be safe than sorry!
